Last week I was happy to participate in the Cogniti Mini-Symposium hosted by Danny Liu and the University of Sydney. We’ve been piloting Cogniti as a tool for creating purposeful AI assistants for education, and I’ve been impressed by the platform as well as the community of educators that’s grown up around it. This was on display in the conference, with 30 presentations showcasing how people have been experimenting with Cogniti to support student learning. I’m looking forward to ongoing collaborations with Danny and this community.
In my session, I shared our experience of running year-long AI working groups for both faculty and students and how the process of designing custom agents has cultivated curiosity and community at BC.
